What is Google Analytics?

I hope you all are doing well by the grace of almighty Allah. Alhamdulillah, I am also well by His immense mercy.

I am today going talk about Google analytics. It is so much important for Website owners specially for e-commerce entrepreneur who have an e-commerce website. Let’s go to the main discussion.

Google the web giant provides around 60 different service, e.g. web search, Gmail, Duo, Blogger, Map, analytics etc.

Google Analytics is a web analytics service that tracks and report web traffics. Google launched this service in November 2005.  It is like closed circuit (CC) camera for a website. It is even works more than a CC camera does. The Google Analytics can track all activities in a website. If you have a website and you use google analytics, you then can see all of your website’s activities. For example:

You can see the following facts-

How many traffics (visitors) visit your website.

Where they come from (reference).

What is their geographical location.

If they come from search engine, they which key-word they used.

How much time stay they in your website.

Which products or link they clicked on.

You can see over all statistics of your web activities. 

Google analytics is so much important for e-commerce website. Because in e-commerce, all activities take place virtually. If you don’t have google analytics in your website then you can’t see how many people visit your website unless they place order. But it so much important to know how many people visit your website but don’t place order. If you know overall user activities in your website, you then can take necessary steps to develop your service.

It is a matter of joy that, Google provides this important service freely. So, you don’t need spend any money for it. You just need to sign up in google analytics and interconnect with your website. Just it.
